Beautiful views, friendly owners, tea on arrival

We booked two rooms thought both were en-suite but only one of them

We had a very warm welcome from the owners Sandra and Sandy with a tea and biscuits in the cosy living room. Our room was very nice with a comfy bed and our bathroom was very spacious.

The a great stop along the NC500 that felt right at home. The room was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was very clean and provided products were lovely. The breakfast in the sitting room overlooked the beautiful countryside and was delicious. Overall a wonderful stay

Bedroom very nice and comfortable 4 poster bed. We had use of the main lounge which had a nice log burner going, and the owners made sure to put new logs in to keep it going.

We had our own private bathroom but was across the main hall way. We were welcome by the owner and taken into the lounge and offered tea/coffee, which was very nice, we were then left in there by ourselves for over an hour, my husband went around the property calling out, but the owners where no where to be found, so we phoned the number, we asked about us being shown to our room to which I was informed the room was on my booking, which it was but was expecting to at least be shown to a room.

The hosts, the pot of tea on arrival, the sitting room, the chat with Sandra and her husband particularly about local knowledge and the breakfast was amazing.

Location and host/hostess were lovely

Bathroom was a little tired.

Our hosts were very accommodating. We had some logistical challenges - not related to The Antlers - and Sandra and Sandywent out of their way to help us sort them out. They have both lived in the area since childhood and have a wealth of local historic and cultural knowledge that they are willing to share. This was a highlight, for sure.
