Very friendly staff, clean room close to work. Food excellent in the pub

Not clear about parking and staff said they couldn't cancel off until I get the fine

Attended a funeral and stayed over for a few drinks.

In the bar they served a multitude of Lagers, but alas no bitter. They did have a Holts Real Ale, but that was not acceptable to me.

Did not need breakfast so cannot report on this. Used tea and coffee facility in room and ate biscuits provided. We were given the family room which was a very generous size with giant TV set. This was a very comfortable stay and staff were attentive and helpful

Access to this hotel has been made convolutedly difficult from the south, and exit to the north involves a U turn on a dual carriageway. Car park access is strangely only available from a dual carriageway despite the hotel being in a corner position on two roads. As a public house, people (smokers and drinkers) sometimes tend to gather outside around the main entrance which can be inconvenient and a bit unpleasant having to pass through smoke when arriving with suitcases.

Good security and clean facilities.

Really nice room, good staff, comfortable mattress. Helpful staff - easy check in check out process.

Shower head had black muck all over it as it clearly had not been cleaned for a while. This all came off straight on a towel when I wiped it. Really off-putting. I actually didn't even have a shower because of this. Toilet was quite noisy on refilling. Didn't know that when we arrived there was a function downstairs as well as football on. On top of this, loud music was blasting till about 10pm. This was okay as it was quiet by 11pm but we didn't envisage this. Lastly, the hotel is advertised as accepting AMEX but the card machine at the till didn't say AMEX was accepted.

Really nice staff and good location. Ample parking. Really nice food.

It’s a bit dated and basic and a bit noisy from the pub downstairs.
