Hotel Dawat

We needed emergency accommodation and arrived late at night. All we wanted to do was crash into bed. Check in took about 20 minutes. . We thought we could pay by card. When we had to pay in cash and didn't tip the member of staff who showed us our rooms he wouldn't leave. He also went into my daughters room and again didn't want to leave. It was very inappropriate.

The staff

We paid almost 4000 rupee but got a service not even worth 500 rupee. (1) We booked for a double room with garden view with various facilities including two double beds! but we were first given a basic room with 4 single beds. After we confronted them, they gave us the correct room with all listed facilities provided but had only 1 double bed. When asked, they gave us a mattress on the FLOOR!.. without bringing us a pillow so we had to ask for one. Then again no blanket! so we had to take one from the previous room. This whole checking in process took more than an hour! (2) No soap, shampoo, towels were provided and again we had to ask for each item one at a time. (3) Everything was dirty - the extra mattress, bed sheets, pillow covers, blankets, towels, coffee cups were unwashed, dusts and dirt inside closet, and especially the bathroom. The toilet was full of dried urine and excrement stain. Molds everywhere. When we asked for cleaning service, they only cleaned the spot we pointed out, in this case, just the toilet bowl and nothing else! (4) No water!.. The water was running strong when we first checked in but then completely stopped around 8pm. When we raised the issues, the water came back with extremely low pressure. (5) The hotel cut off electricity when we were outside - leaving our devices charging when we were out was impossible. (6) They had a few staffs that speak good English but only presented at checking in. Communications after payment was a nightmare - stealing out rest time! Whenever we reached out to sort out the above issues, the staffs would always understand that we wanted to buy water or something and came up with a menu!.. Once each of the issue was solved, the staffs would linger for tips! No complimentary drinks were provide - Not even bottled water. Half of the property was still under construction.

Location and staff

It was not maintained properly and not clean.

Very nice place near to airport. Walkable distance only.

Bathrooms should be cleaned on daily basis, which is not occupied for somedays.

The location was in walking distance from the airport. An easy 5 minute walk. The room was comfortable. Staff very friendly and helpful but with limited English.

Hot water was not available for 1 night. A lot of banging of doors shutting closed and women shouting and crying between 11pm and midnight which was strange.

Great to fly early as the hotel is really 200 mt away from the airport. But the place is unclean in a deep way. Linen and bathroom seemed not to have been cleaned and we found items from previous occupiers left behind.
