The Glenmorangie House

There really aren’t enough words to express how outstanding this property is. Photos do not do the location or house justice. Additionally, the food, whisky, and service are outstanding. We were lucky to get a reservation in the first place, and luckier still to be able to be rebooked when our travel was derailed. If you are thinking about it, give yourself the pleasure of staying here.

Thought the house was stunning beautiful decor

Felt a little too uncomfortable you were escorted to lounges and breakfast it didn’t feel natural and was not enjoyable. The soft furnishings were beautiful and lamps and objects everywhere felt a little frightening as difficult to put things out of place when using the room. Light sockets behind cabinets for example no where to put tea and coffee mugs as leather bound table just made you feel a little awkward in case of damage. No TV in the room and when it gets dark at 3 it’s a long evening. There were beautiful lounges but felt not at ease as you were accompanied into them and served - I felt there at least should have been a TV lounge one could have used. Dinner menu was set and cooked beautifully but no choice from set menu.

Vegetarian options at dinner were a little uninspired

Beautiful. stunning house, lovely concept of all guests dining together! Breakfast was excellent! Second night was much better than first night! Would love to go back when there are a full complement of guests!

Not really a hotel, lacking in facilities, room very small and awkward & uncomfortable as a result! Very limited tea and coffee in room and no milk! Worst thing about the experience was on first night we were the only guests, which was very disappointing, as we would never choose to spend a lot of money on a 'hotel' that advertises itself as a dinner party experience! We were not offered a discount either and we were charged for drinks we did not have!

The property itself is gorgeous, each room is perfectly decorated with luxurious details. The quality of the dinner was suberb.

Some minor details: the tap in the bathroom was extremely noisy when turned on. There is no a real reception area, and our check in has been done with another couple in a weird way. No keys for the room, “it is safe” (they say) until something happens.

Beautifully done guest house, very stylish, great smell. Service was great, dinner and breakfast outstanding!

Our room curtains did not close 100% so we had some light coming in and woke us up very early. The town is missing some action, it is very quiet.
