Crown House

This place was a wonderful spot to catch up with friends who live 1 min away. Clean, spacious and fab amenities with fridge, kettle,TV, lots of space and safe (wirh no instructions)

Noise! Door at entrance and upper entrance quite loud. Crowley Road with venue opposite also worth thinking about. Ear plugs useful.

Location is fine, 20 minute walk into central Oxford

No staff at the property and we couldn't check into our room. Builders also started work on the room 2 down from us at 8AM on a bank holiday.

Very noisy

The Crown House looks very basic from the outside, but the room was very spacious and comfortable, and the bathroom was excellent with a very powerful shower. I would definitely consider coming here again.

The overhead light when lying in bed was far too dim and there could have been more and better coat hangers in the wardrobe.

Good location, fairly clean bar some marks in the wall and a hole in the bathroom wall that was stuffed with food packets. Overall cleanliness to be expected for the cost.

The staff walked in on my friends changing at 9:30am, didn’t knock or anything, then came back at 10:15 insisting on the cleaning the room! I sent the cleaner away, saying if check out is at 11 don’t barge in unannounced 90 mins early and then be insistent 45 minutes early. Really diabolical and my friends felt extremely violated.
