The price was very good

There were lots of ants in the toilet, the bathroom was dirty and the wall had weird spots on it. The included breakfast was a rice block, onions and bananas, nothing else.

A 15 min walk to/from Peradeniya train station making easy access to Ella train. Rooms were larger than many in Sri Lanka and had the benefit of a balcony.

Lock on bedroom entrance did not work. Payment at check out required the staff to run to bank at main road to make change even for a small currency bill putting us at risk of missing train. Evening meal was disappointing, it was served on unfinished wood table that could not be wiped clean and had many stains from previous meals, chairs could also not be cleaned of the dust.

We were glad to stay in Stellar Inn in Peradeniya instead of Kandy. (Kandy is only 7 km away) Peradeniya is not touristy at all and we actually like it that way better. We got to experience a more authentic Sri Lankan town. The hotel is new, modern and very clean. The room size is large. The beds are exceptionally comfortable. There are blackout curtains and the AC works great. There is a kettle, cups, tea and coffee and water in the room. The Royal Botanical Garden is within walking distance and we thouroughly enjoyed it! Initially we planned on staying here 1 night but because we liked it so much we stayed 2 nights. The staff and manager were very helpful and accomodated our special requests. After we left the hotel and were well on our way to another town, the manager called, informing us that we forgot our Apple tablet in the room! He then promptly worked on having it sent to us via a reputable courier Domex. We received the tablet the following morning! The courier cost was only 1000 LKR. Clean a spacious room

Breakfast was poor. They served coffee for our 5 and 8 years old sons.

The property was in a good location.

The room was too small. Compared to other properties, it did not provide value for my money. Additionally, the room and the washroom were not clean. Even the air conditioners hadn’t been cleaned in decades. There were also many ants in the room.
