4 BDR House At Caledonia Luxe Stays Short Lets & Serviced Accommodation Lanark

Enough bedrooms for us. Comfortable enough lounge, ok kitchen, good TV, good WiFi, good off-road parking, good location for our purposes. Warm enough.

Unclear how clean it was - a couple of stains on some bedclothes and still lots of cigarette butts and some latex gloves out the back although the company claims to clean these up after every stay. It looked as if the electricity had been off at some point and so the digital clocks in the kitchen and on the boiler were all out which also meant that the heating was out of whack until we worked out how to change the clock on the boiler. One bedroom did not have a trv on its radiator so could not be adjusted and the room was much too hot - could have called the company but who wants that hassle on a short break. Lacked a few good touches eg. Place to hang coats, places to hang wet towels, drying rack for sink. Worked well for 4 people but sleeps up to 8 and there would not have been enough cutlery or chairs for that many people. Not much in the way of cooking utensils. Toilet roll in short supply. Batteries dead on TV remote.

Hardly any kitchen utensils, eg no colander, jug, chopping board, pyrex bowls. Says no smoking but outside back door littered with cigarette butts. Arrival instructions incorrect as thermostat in hall is disconnected. Only 1 toilet roll for 3 people on a 2 night stay.

Plenty room

The cleanliness, no clear instructions for the heating, the Internet stopped working, and there was no back door key. I did contact the owner, and he said he would get back to me, but I never heard back , and the pressure in the boiler dropped to zero, so I had to top it up myself.
