Sonia, our excellent host, met us on site exactly on time to hand over keys and show us around the apartment.

Nothing really, maybe include more toilets paper in the bathroom.

The location was perfect for us. Easily reachable by a short walk from the bus station. It's a very basic accommodation but we didn't expect or need more.

It's a ground floor apartment with little daylight in the winter. Took some time to heat up on arrival with AC being the only mean of heating. Once warm it was ok for the rest of the stay.

Nothing, except the location.

The place is in a very old style building, on ground floor and the door locks in a very strange way, which does not provide complete safety and protection from the roaming around the place suspicious characters at night. A stronger kick could easily get the door opened. In fact there were some isolated bangs on the door while I was inside, which was scary. There were also marks on the door. Also, the shower has only a plastic curtain, and the shower bed is only 3-4 cm high, i.e. very shallow, making it almost impossible to stop water penetrating the rest of the bathroom, where the toilet and the sink are. There was no mopping facility available, so the water could not be collected and the floor dried, thus having to put up with the wet floor, which could not be avoided when using the toilet, as the bathroom is very narrow, and nothing could to be done about this. The place was not serviced for the 3 days I was in it, so the water remained there. Apart from this, the host was not there when I arrived, despite having written that if I arrived earlier than the 4 pm check-in time, I could leave my suitcase at "the neighbours next door". No body answered the door of the place (the address is in fact different, not the one in the Booking.com website), and no neighbours were available at all, so I had to find another place to leave my luggage, which was not easy, given the steep streets in this part of the town, and the very uneven sidewalks surface, and the fact that the place is not so close to the city centre after all. Then I had to return at 4 pm (this is by all means, an extremely late check-in time, to start with). Had I known all this, I would have never booked this place.

The Place was right at the city center. It was in a very nice location . The apartment has all we needed to feel comfortable. Private bathroom, a small kitchen with all utensils, even a coffee machine and coffee capsules for 50 cents. The towels and sheets were very clean. We used it only for the nights as we were in the move during our stay in Catania. Sonia our host was so gentle, helpful and also helped us with a good parking place and lists of places to go and things to do.

Very friendly host, great location and clean bed-sheets.

If you decide not to use the AC and sleep with open windows, which we did in the mid October time - then you need earplugs as the street gets really loud in the morning. Wardrobe in the room and cupboard in the WC were not very clean.
