Eden cabana was a real home from home, a proper homestay. TP and his parents couldn’t have been more welcoming, kind and helpful. The homestay has just 2 double rooms and TPs mum made us the best Keralan breakfast we’ve had. We asked TP to arrange a couple of bespoke trips for us -a tuk tuk tour including temples, the Coir museum, Mahani beach and lunch at a “toddy” family restaurant. Top tip if you take away any toddy, either drink it that evening or remember to loosen the lid or risk explosion! Our other trip was an early morning boat trip on the backwaters starting with a beautiful sunrise, lots of bird wildlife and lovely scenery. Fabulous.

There is no restaurant within walking distance of the homestay so you need to take a tuk tuk into town. (Although a home cooked meal is available at the homestay with 4 hours notice. )

We really enjoyed our stay here. Relaxing location right next to the water. The family are so lovely and really look after you during your stay. Would highly recommend both sunset kayak and sunrise open boat trips - the family were able to help organise both of these for us, and you see much more than you would be able to in a bigger boat. We also enjoyed the homecooked breakfast and dinners that they made for us.

No hot water but it’s so humid anyway that I wouldn’t let that put you off coming

Absolutely pristine accommodation. Lovely Indian breakfast included. On the waterfront (however the houseboats park up at night obscuring the view somewhat). Host arranged a boat trip and early morning kayaking which was very special.

Everything! This was the nicest homestay I have ever stayed at. We were treated like family. The room was lovely and clean with a very comfortable bed. TP took us out for a sunset kayak which was wonderful and he also arranged a sunrise Shikarra boat ride for us. The parents cooked us up the most delicious breakfasts and dinners. Absolutely excellent! The location right in the backwaters was stunning and you felt like you were so far away from the hustle and bustle of Alleppey even though it only took 15minutes to get there. Definitely stay here if you come to Alleppey. So wonderful!!

Perfectly located Homestay, near to the water. Wide room with AC. The best from all were the hosts. So warm and welcoming! T.P. offered to take me around the town and ended being a bid tour. I was simpy taken by his generosity. I had a lovely time and can just recommend the place!
