Clean and roomy

There was power cut and we had problems with airco and water.

We stayed as ladies group, booked four double room. All my friends were happy and said to me "give top rating" to the hotel. Beds and pillows, towels were very clean. Furnitures were new. Rooms have large balcony. Front rooms have beautiful sea view. Variety in breakfast was very good and had good quality. The hotel is located in a very good and lovely neighborhood; near good restaurants and little bars. The personnel was very helpful and friendly.

This hotel was a major letdown. The location is poorly accessible, even with a rental car. Although distances on Chios seem short (e.g. 16 km), it often took us 45 minutes to get anywhere due to the low speed limits (usually 30 / 40 km/h), making transportation frustrating and inefficient. On top of that, spontaneity is nearly impossible: most restaurants require reservations in advance, so deciding to dine out last-minute is rarely an option. The room was far below acceptable standards. The bathroom constantly smelled of feces, and there was only a filthy shower curtain separating the toilet from the shower. No comfort, no hygiene. The breakfast was also poor limited options, low quality, and not fresh. For what we paid, this was unacceptable. We had booked four nights but left after two it already felt too long. The island of Chios itself was also underwhelming: lacking atmosphere, charm, and things to do. Definitely not a destination we would return to. In short: this hotel is not worth the money and contributed to a negative experience of the island. Avoid this place if you're looking for relaxation or quality.
