I booked this room mainly because it has AC facility in the listing but when I arrived I saw there was no AC in the room. Sleeping was hard even with the fan on due to the high humidity.

I loved this place. I've stayed here quite a few times. Rachel is super sweet and was helpful the first time I arrived and always welcoming. I've stayed in both units. The place is spacious and I love the rooftop area for relaxing. It is close enough to the main road and lots of little shops around for fruit and small veggies and any other thing of convenience. You can take a boda 5 mins down the road to the beach(Salty's entrance). You can also take a 10 min. boda ride to naivas. The pharmacy is at the end of the road before the main road. and just all around good vibes. I've watched the ladies clean and they do a good job at doing a thorough job which I love the most.

There were a few issues with creepy crawlers but these were often fixed with spray and didn't have a huge issue there after. It never felt dirty though or like there were infestations. The outdoor isn't completely closed out so ants have access(but again there isn't any huge issue where they're crawling around on your food or things). As it's island life the slowness in getting things done when there were issues or problems was something I didn't really care for. The wifi is also lacking. If you are a work from home person the wifi speed can be a bit of a headache and inconsistent. It could possibly just be a Kilifi issue but it's the biggest downside of staying here. I'd move in permanently if I could figure out a wifi hack.

The location was great, near Vidazini beach. The room is large and super clean, with all the necessary amenities but the real highlight for me was the breezy rooftop lounge. I also appreciated the warm welcome by Rachel, who made sure I was comfortable and was available for any requests.

A bit noisy at times due to nearby churches and a mosque. Maybe it's also because I was there during holiday season. No sign outside the property and "Kelly Homes" is not known by local boda drivers. It would be better to provide guests with directions involving landmarks.

The host was very friendly and helpful. The cleanliness was on a whole other level!
