Ohrid Sunset Apartments Velestovo

We came with no car, but the owner was extremely nice to pick us up when he heard the taxi driver who I asked at bus station intend to charge me for unreasonable price. And later on the owner offered a reliable driver's number so we could travel to and back from the center easily. And because of the location is halfway up the mountain, so you get amazing panorama lake view which is incredible!! There's also a very good restaurant locates just 3 mins away from the apartment offers local food and fantastic view as well!

Amazing view, clean and comfortable apartment.

What a wonderful place! We stayed in the apartment number 3 with the black and white furniture in the living room. It is located on the second floor but has its own independent entrance from the outside. Because the house is built one the slope there are only few steps to the main door. There is an individual parking space right at the entrance. The apartment is very spacious and comfortable. It consists of the living room, two separate bedrooms and the bathroom. There are stairs in the corner of the living room, but there is no access to the upper floor, everything is on the same level. The equipment is in good condition. It would be nice to have more kitchen utensils (cutleries and dishes) but finally it was not a big problem. But the most important is the wonderful view on the Ohrid lake and town that you can admire from the living room or balcony, both during the day and at night. Perhaps the location of the village of Velestovo high in the mountains can be a challenge for those who don’t like to drive the narrow and steep mountain road (asphalted all the way) but the view is really worth it! And not only this, because the village itself is very interesting, it is not far away from the lake and you can start some nice mountain walks there. The host is very helpful and responsive. There is an option of self-check-in with the keys to collect from the box, which was very convenient for us as we arrived later in the evening.
