Hotel Cedar is not a tourist hotel per se nor is it right on or off MI road but it’s an easy 20 min bus ride into Ajmeri gate route and about 10 min rickshaw (20-40R(depending time of day/night)to Panch Batti Mr Singh chose wisely Mr Jaga as G.M. At this hotel no one pushes the sale of anything. Mr Jaga and his staff (Paramveer for instance) go out of their way to make sure guests are comfortable and charged fairly for rickshaws. A modern and clean 9 room boutique type hotel, it’s part of a posh and GORGEOUS wedding destination and event hall. The crème of Jaipur and Delhi hold wedding receptions here, as well as other events. Crisp, clean sheets, a strong flow of water for great showers( a guilty pleasure as I’m aware of the water shortages and the extent and expense that hotels go to provide tourists with hot water. I ❤️ every min of my stay here. It’s easy to get around to my favourite spots around town. This is an upscale but unpretentious neighborhood. Khwaab sports bar is 10 min walk away, fills up with young locals and is esp busy during big sport game nights. As a solo female traveler, I especially appreciated returning home to this neighborhood and under Mr Jaga’s caring but unassuming watchful eyes. Central Park is close by for a quick morning run. Birla Mandir 10 min rickshaw ride away (20 to 30 rupees) Soldiers memorial 10 min walk. The chai is always piping hot and delicious as is the freshly made to order paratha and other small offerings. Tbh, I wanted to be away from the tourist path and tho I did encounter a few foreign and domestic tourists, it seems we each had the same idea of getting away from the main drag and enjoy peaceful moments when at the hotel while an easy ride into the Pink city or my favourite spot, Panch Batti. Nothing! The wedding hall Veda, puts all such event halls in Miami Dade to shame! The detail and beauty is amazing. 5 star service at economic price. All of the staff are lovely and honest especially Mr Jagar and Paramveer and the head of events is a charming and generous man!
