Rainforest Border Edge

Sehr freundliche und bemühte Gastgeber (Amila und Eltern). Bungalow ist relativ neu und wir hatten einen tollen Ausblick auf Reisfelder und Teeplantagen. Abendessen war fantastisch. Wir haben die Regenwaldtour mit Amila gemacht, super guide und sehr humorvoll. Konnten sogar hinterher noch in Ruhe duschen bevor die Reise weiterging. Danke für alles!

Leider keine Klimaanlage, mit 2 Ventilatoren ok.

Rainforest Border Edge was our favorite place in Sri Lanka. The accommodation was fantastic. Everything was clean and of a very high standard. After a jungle trek, you can take a perfect hot shower and relax in front of the house in a small garden with an amazing view. The owner is a guide for the national park. We had a great tour and learned a lot. He was amazing! He has a lot of knowledge and passion, and really enjoys showing you all the animals (not rushing through the park like other guides). His mother cooks excellent food and is very kind. His father showed us how to produce honey from a palm tree. A truly great experience!

Tolle Lage und Aussicht, sehr nette familiäre Atmosphäre und Gastfreundschaft! Wir haben eine Wanderung durch den Regenwald mit dem Host gemacht - sehr zu empfehlen. Um Verwirrung zu vermeiden sollte man vorher genauer besprechen welche der drei möglichen Touren man macht: neben einer kurzen Wanderung und einer langen Wanderung gibt es auch eine Wanderung zum Peak (Lion Rock). Wir haben erst während der langen Tour gemerkt, dass wir nicht auf den Lion Rock wandern.

We we're welcomed with open arms. The accomodation looks new and is really clean and comfortable. The family is so kind and helps with everything. Good breakfast, lunch and dinner made by mom. You can also do rainforest tours which i do recommend doing here.

Wir wurden sehr herzlich bei Amila und seiner Mutter aufgenommen. Die Gastfreundschaft und Hilfsbereitschaft war wirklich außergewöhnlich! Die Rainforest Tour haben wir auch mit Amila unternommen, was ein unvergessliches Erlebnis war. Amila hat auch nach 6 Stunden nicht aufgehört uns die wunderschöne Welt des Rainforest zu zeigen! Anschließend wurden wir noch köstlich von "Mama" bekocht. Vielen vielen Dank für die schöne Zeit!!!

The most beautiful place we visit in Sri Lanka! The cabin is brand new and very well done. Very clean, comfortable and a lovely terrace with a beautiful view. Amila took us into the rainforest and showed us a lot of the plants and animals there. Besides, hé is in for a good laugh… Mum is a good cook who makes breakfast, lunch and diner!

Bardzo polecam zatrzymanie się w Rainforest Border Edge. Cudowne miejsce i super przyjazna rodzina! Domek jest nowoczesny, bardzo ładnie urządzony, jest ciepła woda i przepiękny widok. Rano na tarasie spacerują dzikie pawie. Zjadłam tutaj także bardzo dobre rice and curry na kolację, porcja ogromna. Gospodarz jest także przewodnikiem po lesie deszczowym, zabrał mnie na 2 wycieczki i było wspaniale. Był bardzo zaangażowany, naprawdę starał się wypatrzeć jak najwięcej zwierząt. Ma dużą wiedzę o roślinach i zwierzętach. Serdecznie polecam zatrzymanie się w tym miejscu i skorzystanie ze spaceru po lesie deszczowym. Dziękuję za doskonałą gościnę ❤️

The location was great and the food Amila’s mother made for us was amazing. We did a day hike and a night time one with Amila, who was an excellent guide - we saw lots of snakes and lizards and even a loris!
