2 Bed in Lynmouth oc-foxcot

Lovely little place with a simple country cottage look, you can see the effort that’s gone in to the place. It’s got a great shower, the bedrooms are nice and simple, no clutter which is great. Really well located for the village and the river view is a great bonus. A handy note to those staying, park in the Upper Lyndale car park just a 1-2min walk away, you can get a 4 day parking permit from the north Devon council website for only £20, which is a great saving based on the fact the overnight pay and display is about £15-16. Also don’t try and park outside the property, you can’t stop easily and if you keep going you are quickly on a road that you can’t easily turn around on (as we found out!)

It does smell of damp when you enter, which isn’t surprising due to the proximity to a large retaining wall. The main thing I’d suggest is mattress pads (& protector sheets) on the twin room beds. They feel thin to sleep on and the springs aren’t comfy, plus one of the beds is very squeaky. Some small changes would have made all the difference to get a good nights sleep. For others info, there are no tv channels and we had to log into our own Netflix. Final note, the stairs are steep inside so not suitable for everyone.

Very cosy, comfortabel and well equipped house. Maybe a little small if you are with four people, but very comfortable for two. Nice location close to see.

Parking is paid, 14 pound a day or 20 pound for 4 days of you go and buy ticket at the visitors center.

Very cosy place and a perfect location if you are going to be walking through the near River.

No washing or dishwasher. Good enough for a short stay.
