Downtown Apartment Santa Catarina

Location was great, host was very helpful and gave great info and guidance .Well equipped apartment .

Bed was not comfortable, and ventilation in the bathroom not working

Apartment was perfect for a couple and amenities good. Bed was extremely comfortable. Shower pressure was exceptional.

For older couple, the steep terrain getting to and from unit was a bit hard going, but then there are not many places in Lisbon that are flat except Lisbon City itself. Also had to buy 2 coffee mugs as the only ones provided in unit were tiny. Also had a lot of trouble finding the apartment and spent 2 hrs in a taxi before giving up our first night. And you will find GPS gets erratic because of the terrain

I'd read the previous comments about the sewage odour just before my stay. I asked the host if this problem was still persistent and he said it wasn't. This wasn't true, once the windows were closed (he asks guests to leave the window open upon check out) the smell was unpleasant and overpowering. I was really disappointed that he wasn't honest about this beforehand. I found the apartment unclean, the kitchen was sticky and the toilet seat had a hair on it. I don't recommend and wouldn't book again.

- Mattress not very comfortable - Unlike what the owner wrote in the previous comment the sewage smell is still there and unbearable. I had to sleep with window open... not the best in November. The owner agreed to cancel and refund the rest of my stay however he still claim his place is perfect and odourless. I advised him to spend a night inside

Location is good.

It was easy in the end but we were arriving late in the evening and upon departure the key was still not available. Naturally, it made us very worried. Then we opened the door and were met with a HORRIBLE sawage smell. I have never experienced any stay as horrible as this. We sprayed the bathroom with a fragrance but the stink would be back in minutes. Next, the place was infested with flies (those big ones, I assume attracted to the stink. That's not all. They were also refurbishing the flat upstairs and we were woken up every morning with the sound of hammers and drills After the second night we went to Porto and slept there a couple of nights. When we came back, the stink in the flat was absolutely unbearable, and we left the window open and dehumidifier on. So we complained to the owner. He just said if we want to leave, we should do so before noon. I should also note that we were with a little kid. I have never experienced anything like this
