Beautiful accommodation in a lovely spot. Excellent hosts, who were so welcoming and friendly - even provided a car service to a local wedding venue. Great breakfast too, lots to choose from Could have happily stayed longer!

"Very comfortable overnight stay - thank you."

9.0

We were made very welcome by Annie and Alex. Help with luggage offered. Very clean comfortable room. Separate private dining / sitting room with TV. Excellent buffet breakfast with lots of fresh fruit, juice, yoghurt, choice of cereals, toast, cold meats and cheese, croissants and pan au chocolates, tea and coffee.

Stairs a bit steep ( this is a lovely old cottage), so probably not suitable for the very elderly.

"A lovely cottage with friendly and accommodating hosts."

10.0

The cottage's location was ideal for us, being in the country, but only a few miles from Royal Tunbridge Wells and Uckbridge, where we had events to attend. The bedroom, the large and well appointed bathroom which we had exclusive use of, and the dining / lounge area that we also had exclusive use of were all spotlessly clean. The continental breakfast was generous, and contained everything you might expect, with the following provided: tea, coffee, bread (and a toaster), a choice of 3 cereals, croissants, ham, cheese, tomatoes, butter, jams, marmalade, marmite and a large selection of fresh fruit, including apples, bananas, blueberries, mango, pineapple, melon and probably some items I can't remember. We had a dog staying with us, and the back garden is fully fenced, so it is safe to let the dog out without concern. The cottage is easily accessed by road, and is situated adjacent to fields and footpaths (though no path beside the road, which is common on country roads), with plenty of wildlife including deer, owls (heard rather than seen), rabbits, and of course, farmed sheep seen on a walk from the cottage. Both of our hosts were very friendly; offering to help carry luggage, and even offering a lift into town, should we want one. We would happily return, and intend to next year.

There was nothing we didn't like about our stay, though, the only drawback I can think of, and it is very minor, is that, as the cottage is on a B road, which is obviously necessary for access, the sound of passing cars is audible. It didn't bother us during our stay, but visitors shouldn't expect a silent countryside setting.
