Lovely hosts, lovely room beautiful village

Lovely place, very warm welcome and good food.

Location. Quirky 16th century pub. Friendly staff. Good breakfast. A few bedrooms , so other family members stayed for family wedding nearby.

The shower didn't have an angle connector to shower pole. Unable to angle it downwards and use as shower as soaked the bathroom. It was okay to use as a handheld shower. There was a heatwave during our stay, a free standing fan in the room would have been welcomed.

The owners made us feel very welcome. We stayed one night as a couple with our dog. We ate dinner and was very impressed with the food. The breakfast and coffee were amazing and we both had a lovely time away.

There was nothing we did not like.

Lovely area and country inn feel. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Free parking outside the pub too.

The room was tiny with lots of character, the floor has subsided and was not level etc. I had to sleep on an angle to keep my head above my feet. The pub closed early on Sunday evening too, I was hoping to unwind after a busy day but last orders was 9pm.
