Maritime Suites Penang

Prime location whereby lots of restaurants and bars within the walking distance, even a few 24 hours convenient stores are nearby. The contact person-Jeff is helpful and responsive. Self check in and check out process is easy. As mentioned the security deposit was refunded on the same day. The unit was clean and comfortable, best time for family bonding.

Expect a different layout and design of the room as seen from the pictures while booking. Only one parking space is provided, paid parking is available with a fee of about RM30 for a overnight parking or else roadside parking is also available for FOC. The parking lot is dark and slightly flooded. The self check in guide was sent at 1PM on the same day and noticed that no towels were provided. Do expect loud noises and music from the bars downstairs until 2-3AM.

Feels unsafe and the area is not suitable for families as it’s surrounded by nightclubs and bars, the door locked but anyone with a spare key could come in so we left early for feeling unsafe specially as we were only girls. There were no sound proof long as we heard the bars music loud and clear till early hours of the morning. The area itself was far from downtown which made commute hard as well. Won’t recommend it

Did a last minute 'non-refundable' booking. Got the message booking done, confirmed, all paid etc from Booking.com. Next morning found an email from the owner/agent, saying to pay a Rm200 security deposit or cannot check-in. The deposit was refunded a day after we left, only once we chased up on it. All very annoying, extra hassle! Very low floor, so view was nothing like the pics. Mainly of the next buildings roof On the main site towels etc were mentioned for all the Maritime Suite Units. This unit, some how is no towels provided, BUT u can hire. 'We must have missed that' on the booking write up. Several other negative aspects about the state of the building overal, but will leave it there. Positive side, good location. In short, we will stay in the area again, just not there.

no towel provided, no washing machine, no dryer for clothes , need to early check-out 11am(usually any hotel/apartment 12pm) need to pay deposit early on booking not mention all the place have sticker *if kitchen not tidy need to pay RM50 *if the stairs dirty need to pay RM50 (all mention about paying)
