The property was beautiful.

The house we stayed in was cramped and had bugs all over the ceiling.

El desayuno incluido solo consistía en zumo, café y bollería. El resto (fruta, huevos, bacon etc era de pago. El tour de la casa.

The room was okay but, of course, it was over-priced. People came to this place because of its ghosts. The staff is pleasant and our guide on the afternoon tour was good. Restaurant was expensive. I suppose that ghosts are not cheap! You should not expect to see any but the info was interesting.

Cost. Not much in room.

Room was spacious but too much light from outside to sleep well.

The peaceful beautiful outdoors. Mystery tour was great!

The staff and the restaurant

The Plantation grounds were beautiful with the Live Oaks and Spanish moss. Flowers were still in bloom with pumpkins sitting around. The cabin was nice and comfortable but could use a kitchenette.

I didn’t like having to walk to the office just to get ice. When asked about getting ice, they only filled an ice bucket for us. The ice was crushed really fine and there was no way to keep it from melting. Once the office/store closed you couldn’t get anything. No vending machines outside, nor an ice machine.

I love the experience and the staff was awesome as I been going there for years as it been going through changes and the fact I’m there all the time every weekend traveling all the way from Lockport la and a historian I enjoy my time at Myrtles knowing everyone there and feel comfortable and finally I get to spend the night since the beginning of the year.

In the beginning the breakfast was amazing buffet felt southern like no other then in time we grew through the changes in everything then breakfast changed to not in gift shop to by the restaurant to back in the elta picking on the menu which was a change but out of our hands we except and ok waited thinking it was because of all the changes it would come back to normal then this morning we wake up to pastry and coffee and juice as complimentary breakfast I was upset and as having a history group and lots of folks are diabetic and then I didn’t expect because when she asked if I knew about breakfast I said oh yeah we sat on the sofa last time and had eggs and grits and sausage it was so good last time thinking it was the same but sadly sometimes when you have plans things can go in different directions which we found out it was muffins and croissants and coffee I’m diabetic and after spending what I could I figured well it’s worth it because we have a awesome tour for years and the awesome breakfast well not for me because it was something I couldn’t eat and few others but accommodation I wish was available because I did not know I had to send my husband elsewhere to find me something I could eat but when it’s a bed and breakfast we lost a hour of our time and broken hearted because I’m always there and thought breakfast was the same thinking I had it all figured out money wise. So make sure even if it is a place you been going to for years that you details every time. Can’t wait to go back and at least I know to have breakfast money to. But love everything there I just don’t want others to be surprised.
