The staff member was cool and so communicative.

I liked what was advertised on the site. The pictures for this place was inviting but the reality of it was very disappointing. I did not stay. I left 5 min after i arrived and spoke to the person in charge.

When i saw the pictures it suggested that it was a beautiful large property. It didnt clearly state that this particular property had 2 sections. 1 was a townhouse of which majority of the pics are displayed and the other is the "studio" which is so small and cramped. Not to my liking. I felt clusterfobic. Not very good advertising and wording to public in my opinion.

The attitude of the owners could have been better. We were in Port Edward for a 95th birthday. The main celebration was a lunch at another venue. However, this was a close family get together for the occasion. People coming from all over the country and Australia and we purposely rented a large property so that we could continue the visit later in the day with a light meal and birthday cake, etc. When we arrived at the property we were denied access to the second bathroom in the cottage and was supplied with only one toilet roll. The very pleasant caretaker on site eventually offered us her personal toilet roll. She also informed us that we were not supposed to have visitors. Furthermore, when my husband and I were ready to bath and shower in readiness for bed there was no plug for the bath. Obviously, we were not allowed to bath. My husband had a shower. The water was just warm enough (no cold water needed) to start with then got cooler towards the end. The next morning the water was cold. When my husband investigated the electrical board, he found that the geyser was switched off. No hot water. We have travelled extensively both in RSA and overseas and we have never come across this kind of meanness. I would like to add that all the people we had over were between 65 and 95 years old. If we had wanted only one bedroom accommodation for one night we could have got it for half the price. Also, we won't be using Booking.com in the future because my husband paid for South African accommodation with South African Rands. Booking.com then paid this money into a Netherlands bank and he has to pay an International Bank Charge.

I really enjoyed my getaway to Grace Avenue. The place was spotless and well maintained, with a spacious kitchen, lounge, and bedroom. Tumi was incredibly helpful and assisted with everything I needed.

I was really happy to be honest. However, I would have liked a Jacuzzi and Piña Colada's on the house to have the full holiday experience lol.
