Unfortunately, though the host was very nice, the place was basically a dump, sorry to say. So much so that I came in and sat down on the bed and immediately booked a nice hotel. This place may be OK if you are 20 and travelling rough but no way for a grown person. The area was on edge of the city, run down, industrial, not at all a neighborhood. I do not recommend at all.

We had expected, from the listing, to have access to a kitchenette and laundry facilities. This wasn't a big problem but being able to make drinks would have been a great addition.

A peaceful haven in a perfect location, made unforgettable by the warmth of its hosts. Despite our late arrival, Majid and his family greeted us with open arms and even prepared a home-cooked meal so we wouldn’t go to bed hungry — a gesture that set the tone for the rest of our stay. We stayed in the lower-level apartment, beautifully decorated in the traditional style once reserved for special family occasions. Every detail felt steeped in culture and care. Majid later took us on a fascinating bicycle tour through Casablanca, tracing the city’s layered history of conquests and cultural evolution. His passion for his hometown is contagious — we couldn’t imagine exploring it with anyone else. One of my favourite memories was learning to make Friday couscous with Majid’s wonderful mother, Rabia. Though she spoke no English and I spoke no French or Arabic, her grandson joined us after school to translate. What began as a cooking lesson became a shared moment of connection — laughter, food, and love all speaking the same language. We later discovered that the family also runs another guesthouse in their Berber village of Tiout, where we were lucky enough to join them again. That experience was every bit as raw, genuine, and soul-stirring as the first — a glimpse into real Moroccan life, far from the tourist trail. To the curious traveller, do enquire if your plans are flexible — it’s well worth the journey. We will never forget our time with you, Majid. Until we meet again, inshallah. Shukran Guma. 🙏🫶

Abdelmajid und Sahra waren die besten Gastgeber, die ich mir inimagine Casablanca hätte vorstellen können !! Von einem herzlichen Willkommen bis hin zu einer Bike-Tour durch die Stadt gemeinsam mit Abdelmajid, weil viele Straßen wegen Marathon-Event gesperrt waren 💙 Dadurch eine der besten Erfahrungen meines Marocco-Trips bisher 🙏🏻👌 Sie bieten außerdem leckere marokkanische Gerichte für Abendessen an...mit Liebe selbst gekocht 😋

Krásný interiér, vše se nám velmi líbilo :) obzvlášť vyřezávané sloupy a lustry. Hostitelé byli velmi milí, nápomocní a přátleští.

La gentillesse des personnes.

Wij verbleven 2 nachten bij Abdelmajid en Zarha in Casablanca en hadden een onvergetelijk verblijf. Het is gelegen in een rustige wijk in Casablanca. Zahra en de mama van Abdelmajid bereidde heerlijk Marrokkaanse maaltijden voor ons. Abdelmajid zelf was een zalige gastheer die ons de stad leerde kennen en ons verder hielp met ons verdere vervoer naar Marrakech. Wij zouden iedereen het aanraden om hier te blijven slapen en komen zeker terug. Als we een 100/10 konden geven dan deden we het :))

The room was beautiful it's a complete apartment with a large sitting area and dining area and outdoor patio with lush green plants growing everywhere. I liked that it was safely locked behind two doors for which I had keys giving me extra sense of security. The lady of the house is a great cook and provide a wonderful service in a timely manner which to an American visitor is quite a relief. The husband and wife team up in a beautiful way to make this a very comfortable stay and he speaks English without any flaws in communication for any of the details.

I liked everything about the stay!!!! However the neighborhood doesn't have a lot of offerings that one might be looking for, I found one nice café within about 6 blocks and a BIM within 3, it was about a 20 minute taxi ride to the Hassan II mosque and 45 minutes ride to the airport, however Casablanca is a big place, so it's understandable you can't be close to everything
