Although remote very close to town and beautiful grounds with both a modern and old school feel

Honestly this was the perfect stay

We loved all, location was great, size of the house, just everything. We had a fishing trip with few friends and river run just beside it. Couldn't ask for better location. Highly recommended

The apartment is finished to a very high standard. The kitchen has everything you could need for self catering and a washer and dryer is available.

The property is described as having "vast grounds and woodland trails" when in fact the house sits on a plot of enclosed land approx 1.5-2 acres. We asked the host about walking our dogs on the grounds when we arrived and he said there's "just a small trail we’ve created around the forest". Small and vast are not synonymous. We were looking forward to exploring the "vast grounds" with our dogs, so we were very disappointed to discover that a walk around the entire property took about 7 minutes. Both bathrooms and a hallway light have motion sensor lights. When I raised this with the host I was told they could not be disabled, so bare this in mind if, like me, you don’t want to be blinded if you use the bathroom in the middle of the night. It caused issues with sleep throughout our stay. All windows are sealed shut so the bedroom got very stuffy without access to fresh air. The most frustrating thing about our stay was that the host arranged garden works on our last full day. At 9am we could hear the sound of a power tool. I went outside to investigate and found two workers using a power saw. I messaged Isaac immediately as he had assured me that no renovation works would be carried out on the house during our stay. I was told the noise was from garden works and that he’d asked for them to be quieter. They were not quieter. All morning we could hear chop, chop, chop, dig, dig, dig. There was also noise from the floor above us – heavy footsteps and moving furniture. By lunchtime, we gave up and decided to pack and head home. I notified Isaac but got no response. Booking.com have tried to contact Isaac about the issues during our stay but he has not responded to them either. This was extremely upsetting and I've still no idea why a host would arrange works during a guest stay.

The house is beautiful in a wonderful setting.very well furnished and finished with fantastic gardens and space outside.a unique getaway from the world.

From the moment we drove up to the property we were in love, its stunning. The decor inside is fabulous and it's so spacious there was plenty of room for us. Everything we could possibly need was provided for. The location was good too only 5mins from town which was great as we were up from Athlone for a family function.

Enjoyed our stay at Glebe House. Very well equipped accommodation, comfortable, quiet. Accommodation as described and as per photos. Nice location to visit the surrounding area....went to Wild Ireland, Derry, Giants Causeway, Portrush. Lovely walk nearby across the bridge into the village. Also got some tennis in, which was great fun.

Pricey but I suppose you get what you pay for, phone signal can be low at times but internet provided
