The Poppies

Lovely cottage in an excellent location for the town. The place was very clean and comfortable. The parking was nearby just on a parking area opposite the row barge pub.

Nothing i didn't like. Could do with instructions for the nespresso machine as couldn't get it to work and not sure which nespresso pods it uses. Also would have liked the keycode and parking instructions at least the day before as had to rely on my phone signal been ok while travelling on the day

We visit Henley every 2 months and stay there for couple of days. The Poppies was excellent place: very cozy, absolutely clean, perfect place to stay with family. We cooked once and the kitchen had all the required items. Parking was great, grocery shops next door. Emily, the host manager, she is a super star, always available on the texts, always helpful and very pleasant. The Poppies is in our list of favorites in Booking com, will definitely try to book it again during our next stay.

An attractive cottage in a great, central, quiet location in Henley.

Bad start. Arrived on a day of below freezing temperature to a cold cottage. The thermostat in the lounge was set at 13 degrees, therefore no heat on. As the cleaners had apparently been in that day could they not have left it higher in such a cold spell? We contacted the agent and were told we would not feel any heat from the faux log burner in the lounge, whereas it turned out to be a god send until the place warmed up. Okay after that, so not the fault of the owners. We would have appreciated a large baking dish to serve 5 people and definitely a few more towels. Unusual to have only one towel each and no hand towel. Also no hand towel in the downstairs toilet and only one tea towel. A little mean spirited we felt. And a small milk in the fridge would be nice. Some places leave a lot more, as a welcome gift. Worst of all we were NOT told that the parking space could only house a small car. We WERE told parking over a line could incur a fine, so surely a warning was required?

It was a well presented property very clean and well positioned for town etc

The small bedroom could do with a better bed in it and at least a mirror on the wall .

The location was perfect. The house was comfortable, clean and welcoming.

The only problem we had was we struggled with the oven. We are not used to gas so more user error but we took an hour to cook pizza!

Fantastic location for exploring the beautiful Henley On Thames. Well equipped, clean and cosy. Would recommend to anyone looking at somewhere to stay in the area.

Parking spot is a short walk from the property as it's almost impossible to park outside the property, which is a little annoying for loading and unloading. The cleaning fee is a little expensive.

Great location, nice and bright property with all essentials needed. Comfy and clean. Cute garden area in the sunshine.

Hard to park in larger groups but the addition of the private space for one was very helpful.

Well appointed, very pretty interior, cosy and quiet. Great kitchen for cooking, loungeroom was comfortable and warm,. Poppies is in an excellent location
