I can't imagine a better stay than this place. The host Rinu was endlessly caring and kind. I feel like I'm getting the tastiest foods and healthy sweets every moment. She is the best cook and host by far! Before I have never experienced this kind of atmosphere what she created in this hostel. Soooo beautiful. In addition I also met kind, helpful girls with a good sense of humor. The girls took me to the temple. I learned a lot from them about their culture and they made sure I had the best experience from this city. I recommend this place 100% . thank you with all my heart. Wish you Rinu and girls all the best and see you next time.

For the international traveller, please note this is not a typical backpacker hostel. This is a women’s hostel, housing mostly Indian students who are in Kozhikode for college or internships. As such, please expect a different ambience compared to a hostel filled with travellers. The vibe is entirely different, although it is indeed a new experience and one you might want to make! The room has four bunk beds and you’ll have access to a locker. Although I didn’t avail of it, complimentary Indian breakfast is available. Rinu will be on-site all day and she is the lovely and bubbly lady taking care of the cooking. The en-suite bathroom has a shower and closet, however no sink. As for the shower itself, the pressure is not great and as such, you’ll have to use the bucket. Do not expect a room or main entrance key. The main door is always open and although the room does have a key inside, individual ones are not provided to guests. Keeping in mind that this is not a backpacker hostel, it makes sense and it felt extremely safe in general. I was in town only for a few days for the Kerala Literature Festival and spent virtually no time at the hostle other than for sleeping… however I also had the chance to meet some lovely people.

The fan regulator was not working in my room and as such, since the speed could not be adjusted, it was quite noisy. Overall cleanliness also could be improved upon.

I really had a 2 days good time. Rinu was too good and very lovely.I loved the food she made and the care she showed😍❤️.I met some awesome hostel girls over there, they gave me really good company.The stay owner was very friendly he allowed me to check in early without any extra chargers. Over all I had a good time and which is really really affordable stay.❤️

Had a wonderful experience

Great place to stay the night, met some wonderful women and amazing food from Rinu 💗💗💗 sad to only stay one night.

The location, the hospitality and the food. Reenu, the host.. Soooo caring. I couldn't believe the way they all cared for me. At night when I got late, they called me to check if everything is fine. 🤩🤩☺☺☺ I loved my stay at Beyond home. It was just like a home. I already miss that place.

The mosquitoes are many.. So it would be good if a Mosquito repellent is provided in the room. Also on one night, electricity went, so it was very hard to sleep without fan and with mosquitoes.

The stay was very good and the host Rinu was very very warm and welcoming. Food is available and Rinu chechi cooks delicious homemade healthy food. Definitely such a worth it stay and experience here overall
