I liked the location. The host was in general quick to reply to my questions. Unfortunately this was not enough to compensate the overall discomfort of the property lacking facilities.

I was very disappointed by this expensive apartment at Largo Adua 24. Little care for basic needs. For example, uncomfortable mismatched toilet seat, which we found unhinged upon arrival. We had to ask for standard thing like trash bins, a broom, bed covers, hair drier, etc. Additionally, this place is not fully finished yet. Evidently they turned it into a rental in a hurry or on a tight budget. For example, there are signs of removed fixtures with exposed wires, curtain rods without curtains, lots of large holes in walls and ceilings from previous fixtures, walls badly painted and paint tape still around outlet covers and walls corners, and some electric outlet covers are missing. Drawers miss handles, no reading lamps on night tables. The window shutters do not lock in place and since there are no curtains or blinds, to darken the room you have to somehow tie the shutters together (we used zip ties and a lock!). In the kitchen there is 1 outlet for 3 appliances. Therefore, to make coffee, for example, you have to unplug the refrigerator and cannot warm up the stove top at the same time. Not particularly clean either. For example, we found a dirty towel in the bathroom hamper, food residue on kitchen sink cover and radiator rods are covered in dust. The light in the windowless entry room is out. You should know that this is a portion of a larger apartment comprised of two units rented individually and separated internally by a thin glass door that lets light, noise and odors through. One night it was rented by a bunch of kids who, at 3:30 am, were extremely loud and smoked a lot. I had to knock on their door and asked to be quiet, which did not work. After a few minutes I had to confront them more “firmly”, which worked. We had read some negative reviews and expected the host would fix the reported issues. In spite of high price they charge, it seems they have little interest in making it comfortable. I visit Bari often. I will not rent from this host again.
