Highcliffe Apartment with Parking

The location was great very near the beach and a Tesco just around the corner 5 min walk,

Where to start. Negatives, The apartment needs some tlc all the beds smelled of mildew, the floors were filthy, not enough plates cups etc for 6 people, kids bunk beds were very rickety, mould in the shower which I had to try clean off because the children wouldn't get in, the kitchen is dropping to bits doors broken, worktop edges peeling off, the host did mention the broken extractor and not to try and use it, the microwave needs replacing very old, the toaster smelt of burning, the whole place needs a good clean and walls and skirting need painting, chair in the lounge is very grubby, the rug needs a wash, the garden had weeds everywhere no cushions for the chairs, and the bistro set was rusty and hadn't been cleaned or used for years, all the windows needed a good clean and had mould on them. we were asked if we could be quiet as people were upstairs this is very hard with a 4 year old and a 6 year old, I asked if we could invite 2 other members of my family to sit in the garden with their very well behaved dogs, I was told no as I had not paid for the dogs to stay and was asked to take my family to a cafe or the beach, I asked if there was parking for our 2nd car as we had to arrive in 2 cars as there was 6 of us, the host said park on the road at the bottom which wasn't very convenient for unpacking and getting the kids in and out,. The outside bins absolutely stank need a good clean, parking is difficult which the host did mention and as we have a large car it was hard to get it in and out of the space, as you park under the window lengthways. I would expect higher standards of cleanliness. We stripped the beds as asked and cleaned round i think the cleaner needs retraining. We took a video on arrival and one as we were leaving the property. To show we hadn't caused any of this, Positives Great location, close to amenities, beach is lovely.

Location was fantastic, ijust off the High street and walking distance to the sea. Spacious apartment. Parking space.

For an apartment for 6, lacking in mugs and cutlery. Extractor hood broken.Highcliffe

The location was perfect, it was light and airy with enough room for everyone. Lovely little garden too.

Location was perfect spot for us visiting relatives and close to beach, restaurants.

Garden had overgrown bushes just outside backdoor. When trying to get out to garden we had to walk through the bushes. Shower was extremely small.

Great apartment in a pretty good location close to the beach.

The apartment is within walking distance of the beach. WiFi and TV were good. The bed was comfortable

When we arrived, the apartment smelled musty and damp, and it was also very cold. There was no welcome pack or information folder. The garden was unusable as the furniture was covered in green algae, and the astroturf covering the space was dirty and covered in leaves. There were no tea towels, and important kitchen utensils were missing (e.g., a bread knife) or old and poor quality. Also, the dishwasher was blocked and did not wash properly, and the extractor fan did not work at all. The main bedroom only had wooden blinds rather than curtains and did not block out the streetlight outside. There was also a surprising amount of road noise until about midnight. Overall, the flat felt dirty and poorly maintained. It would perhaps be acceptable as an overnight crash pad for a contractor if it were cheaper, but definitely not for a holiday stay.
