"Good accommodation with very friendly host"

The Whitehaven is very well presented and looked after by Simon and Lane whom gave us a very warm welcome on arrival. Our room was spacious, clean with plenty of cupboard/drawers, excellent TV not that we spent much time in the room. A very good breakfast - hot fresh produce made to order, would highly recommend the cooked breakfast or scrambled egg on toast. Would definitely return 🙂

Bathroom a bit on the small side in our room.

"Fabulous stay"

We really enjoyed our stay at Whitehaven! We received a really warm welcome, the room was comfortable, spacious, and exceptionally clean, and the breakfast was delicious on both mornings. The location is also perfect - a short walk from everything we wanted to see and do, and ideal for popping back in an afternoon before going back out for a meal. Our bathroom was just along the corridor from our bedroom, however, it was assigned just to our room and its proximity to the room felt like it maintained our privacy and we did not experience any issues with this. I wanted to mention this so that others aren't put off! Parking is on the street and we were given a visitors permit for this for the duration of our stay. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

Loved everything about Whitehaven, staff were so friendly it was like staying with family rather than a guest house. Would recommend staying here.

The bedroom was nice and clean.

The shower room needs attention. No where to put anything in the shower and nowhere around the basin. Toilet brush needs replacing.

"A lovely stay"

The hosts Simon and Lane were welcoming, always assistive, and very professional. They were advisory with recommended places to see. The house was exceptionally clean, comfy, and warm. The house is very convenient for the centre of Whitby and on a good bus route for journeys north and south. It's also close to excellent well rated restaurants.

There was nothing to dislike.
