"Fine hotel far from the city and Pier"

The receptionist is friendly and the food was fine

The hotel is a little bit far from the city center and it is very far from the Pier. The transportation to the city center is not very convenient given that there's no public transport in Trat. The only way to go to the center is by Tuk Tuk. Besides that, it costed us about 500 Bahts from the hotel to the Pier. And 200 bahts from the bus terminal to the hotel. There's no restaurant nearby but the one inside the hotel, so the food options are quite limited.

The Hotels.com website obscured the fact that the hotel is 4km from Trat, with nothing around it, inside glowing reviews.The price point I paid at meant no refund was available. The room, bed and pillows smelled badly of mould. I was offered a different one by the helpful and friendly desk staff but I wanted to be in town as I had no car. The management really ought to regularly ventilate unoccupied rooms. This is basic stuff. The hotel seemed very empty.
