Neutral Spiraled Vibes

The property was exactly like the pictures, spacious and clean.

The property was not in the safest area and there were a lot more steps than expected.

The beds were very comfortable. The place was mostly quiet at night and we slept well. The desk was handy. Having a washer/dryer was a very nice bonus. The host was responsive when we let them know about a couple items. The space is roomy. We were coming from west of Chicago, so the location was nice in that we didn't have to drive through the city before we got there and got right on the highway when leaving.

We didn't feel particularly welcome. There were signs everywhere stating that "a fine would be requested" if we didn't remove our shoes or wash our faces or if we used the decorative pillows or throw or failed to wash the dishes, etc. It was very off-putting. Those things should be in the rules that every short term rental user is used to reading and following, not posted all over the apartment. There was food that I presume was left by a previous renter that was opened and should have been thrown away. The fridge was not clean. It made me wonder how well everything was cleaned before we got there. There are two flights of stairs to get into the apartment. The listing should include this. The area was easy to get to, but parking is very limited and there are no stores or restaurants in walking distance.

The beds were comfortable.

There was a coffee machine but our 4 day stay was limited to a significantly under stocked coffee bar. The amenities were giving “we don’t want our guests to be costly - so we will short them every way we can”. The sponge we were supposed to clean dishes with reeked and was overall unpleasant to clean with. The fridge filter and water filter were both reporting they needed to be replaced. There was no provided soaps or anything.

Cozy area, a very big privilege for me was 2 separate rooms and a separate bathroom. Wonderful design

There was a lot of dust, not very clean, but everything was fine, it was a great house for 4 days.

Location and accessibility to the downtown. It was super clean. White color for walls. New and clean appliances.
