Porth Lodge Hotel

It’s a lovely building with very cosy room. The staff was friendly and made sure I was taken care of, which was nice. I love the decor of my room and bathroom as well as the restaurant downstairs.

My bathroom was a little bit smelly but nothing to major to want to "not use it"...

Gute Strandlage

All of the staff are amazing, and were just so friendly and helpful in every way. The comfiest beds (I have trouble falling asleep and just drifted off), very clean rooms and facilities. It is very short walk to the beach, but on a quiet lane, so you can retreat and rest properly. The lodge itself is a 17th century inn, which has such great features and historc feel, especially the bar, that the locals also love. Transportation into Newquay Town center is a short bus ride, with the stop about a 3 min walk away from the lodge, or walk, if the weather is nice and time allows it, as it is only 1.2 miles to the center, with lovely beaches and nature along the way. Definitely will be staying again, highly recommended!

The hotel was in a lovely location, only a short distance to the beach. The staff were excellent and the food was lovely. My room was warm and cosy. Bed was very comfortable. Parking at the front was very helpful.

Generally, the decor is a bit jaded. Steep stairs to negotiate with luggage and very stiff door at the top. Shower was old and I found it difficult to get the temperature correct. TV control not very responsive. Kettle did not switch off automatically.
