Shas Resort

One of my favourite stays in SEA so far, it’s a peaceful location with friendly staff. I ended up extending my stay so did one of the other people that was staying here. It is also great for digital nomads as there is a generator and 200mbps wifi, even by the pool! I dont think any other accommodation on the island can match that. - easy to rent a bike - nice beaches near (rent a bike) - ‘Australian’pies down the road - affordable bar - huge pool - secure + safe Highly recommend (from a New Zealand’er)

Clean and nice property grounds, nice and helpful staff, good value.

The bed is hard. Maybe a little more variety at breakfast but it was fine. Beautiful dog was usually chained to a chair on the entrance walkway, is there a reason the dog can’t run free on the grounds? The place is very nice overall.

The location is perfect. The staff are helpful and kind. Cleanliness is excellent. The pool is clean.

Overall, the hotel is good. It has a nice outdoor area with a great pool and a pickleball court. The room was spacious and clean. Breakfast isn’t huge, but the quality of the food is very good. There’s a nice restaurant just across the street, and if you have a motorbike, the main hub of restaurants and bars is only five minutes away

I have to rate the hotel this way due to two issues that, as someone who works in hospitality, I simply can't ignore as they reflect poorly on the quality of service and management. First, after our first night (of a four-night stay), we found a printed notice on our door stating that construction work would be carried out on the rooftop from 9 am to 5 pm. There had been no prior warning about this, and no one mentioned it during check-in, which we had done just the day before. To make matters worse, the construction didn’t even start at 9 am, but at 8:20 am, I even have a video to confirm this. Second, we needed to stay one extra night in Panglao. Considering the noise and ongoing construction, we expected some understanding or flexibility from the hotel, especially since many hotels would have temporarily closed to avoid negative guest experiences during such works. Instead, they quoted us a price higher than what we had paid the night before, and even higher than what was listed on Booking.com. These two points show a serious lack of transparency and guest care, which unfortunately overshadows the rest of our stay

Shas Resort is located in a quiet but convenient location in town. It’s 10mins( with traffic) drive to the airport and less than 10mins a tuk tuk ride to a white sand beach. Across the road from the resort is a cafe serves very good espresso and local food.The pool and jacuzzi on the property is another big plus. The owner of the resort Sunny and his family also made extra effort to assist me during my stay: I got sick before I arrived resort, Sunny and his brother in law drove me to the hospital in Tagbilaran in the second day, they walked me through the procedures in the hospital, waited for me when I visited the doctor and did all the tests, then drove me back to the resort for free of charge! This is the help and service I received during my stay in Shas Resort.

Modern and well designed accommodation. Very peaceful and quiet. Staff were lovely and helpful. Beautiful pool.

Nowhere to hang wet towels. Bed quite hard. Limited breakfast. Quite far from town but quiet and peaceful. All day music in upstairs corridor very annoying.

A relatively new hotel (opened August 2024), there's still construction and work being done on the hotel (ie: they installed a refrigerator in our room during our stay), BUT it is already an incredible place that I would 100% recommend. Located super close to the airport, it's super convenient, and is relatively close to Ayala Beach (~100 pesos) while still being quiet. The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly. My stay had a lot of things that required accommodations, and they were always welcoming and accommodating (ie: my friend and I arrived and left at different times). The front desk helped us arrange a country tour, and it was a great time at a reasonable price. Room is so so clean and nice. AC is perfect, wifi is strong. Breakfast changes every day and was nice :) Simple with a couple choices but yummy nonetheless. We absolutely loved our stay here, and we really cannot recommend it enough. The family is so nice, friendly, welcoming, and accommodating!

The resort is so new that it isn't on Grab just yet :( We would have to chase after Grabs that would arrive relatively near but not at the resort. The sign outside does light up at night and does make it easy for drivers to locate the resort when we get dropped off! The shower water drained relatively slowly, but there was a second drain in the center of the bathroom that the water would overflow and drain through (relatively small inconvenience!) Literally nothing else comes to mind. Really really recommend this resort!
