Small, clean room with aircon and fan. The bathroom was shared with one other room, which was empty. There is a small communal kitchen with a fridge.

Two people might find the space cramped with access to the double futon style mattress only possible from one side. It is not easy to find the house as it's down an alley off the main road. Look for number 314 on the main street, then head down the alley to the right of it. Number 12 is some way down with the door on your right as you pass the building.

Location I use great. Not far from a long boulevard with TONS of real local restaurants. Air con and wifi worked well.

Kitchen looks nice at first, but the cupboards and their scant contents are not so clean. Room was clean but don't open the droor to the nightstand--it's not. And just fyi, bed is VERY firm. Not a problem for me, but just so you know.

Full amenities. Room has good sunlight, very clean, no smell. WC is good. Host is responsive. Location is in center, and many eateries nearby.

Not soundproof. A bit annoying when neighbours (and other guests) speak loudly.

It's rare these days to feel such personal attention and care, but here at GM Homestay, it felt natural, like being welcomed into a family home. The room itself was sparkling clean, beautifully decorated with simple but tasteful design, and filled with natural light. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the air-conditioning worked perfectly, ensuring a restful night’s sleep after a day of exploring the city. The small kitchen setup and washing machine were lifesavers, especially for someone like me who likes the freedom to cook simple meals and manage laundry during longer stays. Every detail, from the high-speed Wi-Fi to the neatly arranged toiletries, showed how much thought the owners put into creating a space that's not just functional, but truly comforting. Even small things like extra towels, good lighting for reading, and a little corner to sit and work made a big difference to me. It’s the kind of thoughtfulness that makes a place unforgettable. The location was another huge bonus — situated in a quiet alley, so peaceful at night, but just a short ride to the bustling city center, with cafes, shops, and local markets all within easy reach. It made it so convenient to explore Hải Phòng without the noise and chaos that sometimes come with staying right downtown. But what truly touched me was the heart behind everything. That evening, it rained heavily, and the host even offered me an umbrella and recommended cozy nearby places to have dinner. It’s the small gestures that make a big difference.
