Hotel Ideon

From the location, to everyone I met from day one, to the room I stayed in — everything was great. The room was always spotless, so kudos to the cleaning lady. I loved the breakfast — especially the homemade jams and fresh orange juice. The young lady who served us was always friendly and attentive. The lady at reception and a gentleman, who I believe are the owners, were very helpful, welcoming and made my entire stay so nice. I really appreciated the map of Chania and Crete with markings of which parts are worth visiting — it was very helpful. I also enjoyed our little chats when coming back to the hotel. You are all so lovely and made the entire stay so nice that I was sad to leave. Thank you so much :) Worth noticing that the hotel is so close to everything - the old town, the bus station, the beach, restaurants - it was very convenient. The area is residential and very beautiful with the local market nearby, which is very useful.

Sehr gute Lage. Zentrum fußläufig erreichbar und nur wenige Meter vom Strand mit zahlreichen netten Tavernen entfernt. Zimmer sehr sauber und gut ausgestattet.

Einen Parkplatz zu finden war abends quasi unmöglich, wir sind fast 30 Minuten um die Blocks gefahren bis wir was gefunden hatten. Im Hotel war auch niemand niemand zu sehen, so dass wir nicht nach dem zubuchbaren Parkplatz fragen konnten. Zimmer sind sehr klein, die Matratze war sehr weich und die Kissen für mich zu hoch. Die Klimaanlage war sehr laut.

Sehr sehr nettes Personal. Sehr gute Lage zur Altstadt/Strand in einem ruhigeren Wohnviertel. Schöne Dachterasse.

I had everything I needed, great location and good value for money

Beautiful location. Friendly staff. Amazing breakfast on the sunny terrace. You even get your own balcony. We will definitely be staying there again.

We thought the parking would be tricky but it was easy. Just don't park in the blue zones as these are the nbew residents parking areas.

The staff were really helpful and gave us excellent directions to the places we wanted to go, and recommended good places to eat, and were really welcoming. We were very close to a beach (a bonus) and easy walking distance to town. Just sorry that, due to a change in our original plans, we couldn't stay any longer.

Our only minor quibble was a mat placed by the side of each bed, which for people our age (75 and 81) can be a slip/trip hazard. We easily solved the problem by moving the mat out of the way, but it did catch us a bit by surprise at first.

Sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Besitzerin, die mir bei der inzwischen angespannten Parksituation super geholfen hat. Sie stieg zu mir ins Auto und suchte einen sicheren Parkplatz, von dem ich nicht abgeschleppt werde und half mir dann auch noch mit dem Gepäck.
