Hostel Review – A Cautionary Tale My stay here was nothing short of appalling. Food left in communal areas is routinely stolen, with zero intervention from staff. Many guests are outright reprobates—and the owners are no better. Items disappear from your room, and the staff seem to delight in playing mental games, spreading untruths, and even extorting money from “so-called guests.” This is not a B&B—don’t be fooled by any description suggesting otherwise. It is a hostel, and a dismal one at that. And no, it is not in Peterburen; it’s actually 2–3 miles away, which they conveniently fail to mention. Stay here at your peril.

Zeer vriendelijke en betrokken gastheer. Net als de dames die er werken. Allen behulpzaam en bereid om je van tips te voorzien. Ruime en rustige kamers. Indien gewenst kan je gebruikmaken van de gemeenschappelijke keuken, waar alles wat je nodig hebt om te koken aanwezig is. Prima accomodatie voor een paar nachten Groningen. Om de omgeving te verkennen heb je wel een vervoersmiddel nodig.

Een plankje of wat haakjes in de badkamer zou prettig zijn. Net als een waterglas aldaar. Verder waren wij vergeten om zelf handdoeken mee te nemen. De gastheer was zo vriendelijk om ze ons alsnog te verstrekken. In de keuken zou een nespresso of senseo apparaat een welkome aanvulling zijn.

Everything is well organised. Easy to get keys at any time you arrived , I also received the little note to the keys with my room number and with kind words for my stay. I loved how big the kitchen is and how well it is equipped.

I enjoyed staying here, it’s a very quiet and peaceful neighborhood. There’s a bus stop 2 minutes away. I needed 60 minutes to get to Groningen by bus and 30 minutes by car. Very friendly stuff is working here! Dogs are welcomed. For the price this place is very very good. I recommend and I would definitely come back
