Ravenswood Social Club

Another stay at Ravenswood. It's such a practical option for an active holiday. The room was spacious, cosy and very clean. I got a good night's sleep and enjoyed the cooked breakfast which is efficiently served, so it's great when I need to be away on time. The staff are all friendly. Had a nice burger and drink in the bar one night.

It’s a good and solid building of age. Sure, it’s got some natural wear and tear, but that added to the ambience. The breakfasts were lovely and came promptly. And the staff were very friendly.

Excellent breakfast, hot and plentiful. Staff were very kind.

Decor of the room was a bit dated. Ensuite was small but perfectly formed.

Simple and everything there. Good fish and chips

The location was perfect as I was attending a wedding at nearby Banchory Lodge, I travelled by public transport from Liverpool so near a bus stop and shops was needed, Ravenswood ticked these boxes for me.

Breakfast on the first morning was ok, it had been pre cooked and heated so was a little dry. Breakfast on morning two 😂 I asked for bacon, eggs, toast and coffee. The bacon was inedible, overcooked and hard. I asked for poached got fried. Got the coffee an item at a time. Pot first, then a few minutes later got a cup. Waited on milk but gentleman on next table ended up giving me his and toast never materialised. I’m sure just a bad day for them but very strange as they weren’t busy.
