The house was excellent. Roomy, clean, fully outfitted kitchen, bedrooms upstairs and quiet. everything we wanted. We stayed outside of Durham city center. The house is ideally located. Bus stop minutes away and a 15 min ride to downtown Durham (old town). Walk in minutes to Morrisons Daily grocery store. It was raining hard and they let us in early. Also let us check-out an hour late.

No complaints.

"Great location for Durham, a bit rough around the edges but cheap."

Rare to find a Holiday rental property close to Durham that allows dogs to stay. Large secure garden that our dog loved to explore. Lovely views from the back of the house. Heating worked well, good WiFi and TV, heated floor in bathroom and a great walk in shower. Off road parking spot a bonus as the street was often busy in the evening.

Didn't seem like it was aimed at the holiday rental market, or the letting agency is inexperienced. The bedrooms were made up and new towels provided, but then there was no toilet paper, no crockery or kitchenware, and the shelves and grill pan were missing from the oven. The letting agent brought some kitchenware round the next morning and were really apologetic. There was a lot of rubbish by the side of the property as if all the junk from a previous tenant had been left and never cleared. The bins were all full and there was no bin for waste in the property. We made do with a plastic bag hung on a door handle. There were a couple of maintenance issues with the property - two double glazed units at the front need repairing and both external doors are poor.
