Ocean House

The location is great. Just in front of the beach. Partial ocean view from the bed. The kitchen is well equiped with washing machine, coffee maker, stove, oven and microwave. You will also find cutlery and tableware. Cheaper than a hotel if you plan to cook. The owner is very nice and accomodating. They own the restaurant downstairs.

You need to buy things to wash the dishes, such as sponge, chux (kitchen cloth), also bin bags. If you stay just 2-3 days is not very convenient having to buy these things. Wifi is not very strong, and the TV has just channels in French. You can't connect to Netflix or other platforms. Doesn't have a sofa, so in my opinion is more a place to just cook breakfast and sleep. For the price difference if you don't want to cook I would rather stay and the hotel nearby.

So close to supermarket, cafes, and beaches

Bit noisy until about 11pm

Would give the location more than 10/10 if I could. Out the door then cross the road and you're at the beach.

Beach House or Ocean House is my preferred place to stay in Noumea. This is because I prefer to cook my own meals. The rooms contain a few kitchen ware. You can always ask if you need something in particular. The manager Stephane is very kind, accommodating and friendly.

Ocean (Beach) House is an excellent location to access the beach, ocean, bars and restaurants. The studios/apartments are well equipped from cleaning agents to clothes iron. There is sufficient crockery, pots and pans provided to cook a decent meal. If your room has no direct ocean view, don't worry, you can always cross the road and spend the day on the beach.

The building is not suitable for wheelchair users unless there is a unit on the ground floor. There is no lift in the 2-storey building. No designated parking.

Beach (Ocean) House is my go-to place when travelling for work. I like that it is a self-contained. I have stayed in rooms 4 and 8 and enjoyed my time there. Wifi is free so I could complete work from the rooms without worrying about getting a SIM card. Management is friendly and accommodating. Thank you.
