Awesome spot!

Nothing, all was great.

Felt like an olden day farm stay

The buildings and rooms were very rustic and farm style, which suited me . Because our stay was out of season and midweek, it was total bliss having no neighbours. The swimming pool was awesome, with luke warm water. The breakfast which we had was excellent, and good value for money, with a magnificent restaurant setting. Furthermore the venue was easy to find, and the staff was very hospitable, always going the extra mile. Thank you Vensterklip for making our stay a pleasant one.

The downside unfortunately was the power cuts, which was unfortunate, but not the venues doing.

Verandah wasn’t swept 🧹. We had to do it .. And it was days of dirt .. needed a good wash down ! WiFi was poor .. louws manor needs to have WiFi booster .. very disappointing that the complex pool was green -apparently it’s been “broken” for last 5 months ! There a general air of lack of attention to detail in the whole complex .. needs a tidy up by management and not leaving situations for staff to manage . Plus this cottage advertised with private pool .. I’m still looking for it 😳nonetheless we had a good family time

Ther was absolutely NOTHING THAT WAS DESIRABLE AT THIS PLACE.

We took a family trip to go visit this place.We got there was pointed to an outbuilding NOT located on the property grounds. I paid a key deposit and was directed to the outbuilding on a different property,i opened up the door to find that they wanted me and family to stay in a room with 5 single beds,a huge fireplace located in the center of the room,so just imagine the smoke smell overwhelming you. The accommodation was NOT AT ALL AS ADVERTISED AT ALL,the “HOST”,replied and said bookings.com do nt clarify it on the website that it’s a “workers-shelter” and they do’nt have this issue with Lekkerslaap. I requested my money back immediately and was told a lot of stories,they then directed us to another place in Redelinghuys as only option.To not loose all our money we stayed the evening,left 04:00 the morning to our new booking,Citrusdal County Lodge. The host even told me they are fully booked for the holidays,this specific building and she does not know how they will handle telling all the guests “BOOKING.COM” falsely advertised this accommodation. We are well traveled and use Bookings.com regularly,this was the absolute first time I’ve experienced this . This trip cost us double in financial expenses due to Ventersklip…… I will highly highly recommend against this establishment,this is FALSE ADVERTISEMENT
