Too many small bits and pieces that didn’t feel clean. No convenient spaces in the bathroom for personal toiletries.
GBA huge amount of effort has gone into creating a charming, unique, period home. The decor, furnishings, fittings and little touches everywhere are fabulous. The furnishings, like the sheepskin and hide rugs, are very tactile and lovely to walk on.
Because every effort has been made to remain true to the authenticity of the house (and we are used to modern comforts!), some things weren’t practical, like a place to shave where you can see what you are doing? It would have been lovely to have had some info and pictures available about the history of the house and how it was renovated.

USLOVED the unusual nature of the property and the artistic Victorian and eclectic decor -- so many personal touches and antiques. Lots of room!!!! Very quiet at night. Super comfortable bed. Fantastic location to explore the history of Faversham -- don't miss the Magna Carta at the Visitor's Center and try to take the historic tour that starts from there.
We were not aware of where the lockbox was located and that took awhile to find. The beautiful images on the site give an accurate depiction of the wonderful interior of the home --- but it does take some practice to use the shower tub and the sink, but once you get the hang of it, it is fun!
GBGBI was so happy upon arrival. The photos of this place really do not do it justice. Parking is a little tricky to find but once you found it, you will be so pleased as it is the owners private space and you can come and go as you please. It is less than a moments walk from the property's front door. The house is immaculate and has everything you need to prepare food, just bring your own tea towels and paper towel. I fancied a glass of Champagne but there was no flute but there is literally charity shops upon your doorstep to rummage around and find anything you might need. It was clean and beautifully set out, a gorgeous little entrance that you can leave your shoes and shopping by the door. I enjoyed the fact it had a food incinerator too. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the linen, towels etc were clean and fresh. The bath was my favourite part but the shower was also luxurious. Plenty of hot water too. I would definitely stay again and would recommend this home from home stay. I had a very peaceful 4 night stay here.
Nothing! The place was even better than on the booking website. My only issue is that there was not one more bedroom and I could bring my daughters next time.
