"Lovely property and hosts, disappointing for dog walking."

6.0

A beautiful barn conversion and the owners were lovely. Good for a base for touring the area. Vital to have a car.

Property very close to and facing the main house. Nowhere to sit out. Had to walk through big yard and 4 paddocks of horses, sheep and goats to get to a small area to let my dog off. Very noisy planes overhead one morning.

"Very disappointing and not worth the money spent."

Sadly I have had to make a complaint regarding this property. Damp, dirty, cold, not as advertsised.

There was no ‘Welcome pack’, just laminated notices. No information regarding how to operate the heating, where to find things, for example the dog walking/exercise area, or what could be put in the main recycling bins. I found a switch on the wall in the hallway labelled ‘central heating’ … I switched it on but nothing happened. I could not find the boiler. The TV did not work. The towels were clean but old and smelt damp. There was no extractor fan in the bathroom. The bedrooms were very damp; the main bedroom was also very cold and dark. The light switch for the bedroom was tucked away behind a curtain the opposite side of the room from the door. Also behind the curtain was a WC and an old door to the outside. I could see daylight around the door; no wonder the room was so cold! It took 24 hours for the owner to sort out the TV and get the heating working, however once the heating was on there was no way for me to regulate/switch it off.
