AUThe Nutshed is an absolute gem of a place. It was a warm welcoming space beautifully decorated with a modern fully-equipped kitchen. I would recommend it for anyone looking for a place to stay in the Bay of Plenty area that is a little of the beaten track but still close to Whakatane.

NZVery peaceful stay, serene area. Neryda is a lovely host. Plenty of space. Comfortable furniture. Plenty of bedding, and towels. Huge bathtub!!!! I wish every place I've stayed at had a bathtub that big. Unfortunately I didn't get to use the bathtub but you should definitely try it. Outside is beautiful and fresh.
The outdoor furniture including the umbrella needs to be cleaned every few days or under tight cover or they will become infested with bugs. They were full of cockroaches, wētā, earwigs - my husband cleaned them out. But bugs are to be expected when living in country style homes.

One of the standout features for me was the massive backyard, which felt like a hidden orchard. It was full of fruit trees, and I have to admit, it was impossible not to pick and enjoy a few! The space felt homely yet spacious, and it was clear a lot of thought had gone into creating a welcoming environment. A perfect retreat for anyone wanting to reconnect with nature and enjoy some quiet time.

NZGreat location. Plenty of fruits and nuts to pick from the Host's Farm. Clean and spacious house to stay. Large open living area with good size bedroom with comfortable beds.
Loved the place, but some suggestions - good water pressure, but the shower head can be changed to accommodate that. May be tint the living area windows, so people from outside cannot see inside - provides a bit of privacy. You have created a lovely staying place, and I highly recommend it.
