Salambo Tente Merzouga

Everything about the salambo tente Merzouga was phenomenal. Our stay began with a warm welcome from Laurent the manager and his assistant, Hassan. My husband and I relaxed right away in the authentically sumptuous surroundings, the spacious bedroom and a bathroom you could easily park 2 cars in centre merziuga! From the monogrammed linen to the delicious food (plates especially prepared for my vegan husband), we loved our stay and will certainly return! Staff went out of their way before and during our stay to accommodate our every request. Our favourite of the 3 hotels we stayed at in the Merzouga area. Thank you sir Hassan !§§

The camp is paradise. We loved it! The atmosphere, the views, the garden.but we most love the great people who work there. So sweet, so open, making sure you have the best experience! Special thanks to Hassan and Saïd. We will be back!

The welcome and the setting were top-notch. A moment shared with friends that will remain engraved in our memories. The whole team was attentive and Hassan's humour was exceptional. I'll be going back without any hesitation. Thank you HASSAN, don't change a thing?

The stuff is very nice and friendly. Camp is beautiful and breakfast is excelent.

It is a tourist scam. Although I wanted to know the prices before we went to camp, were prices shady written and they charged us a lot for jeep ride to camp and back. We also didnt want to swim in pool, becauee it was january and freezing cold outside and pool was cold and they charged us all this. We also canceled dinner, but have then other things ecpensive. We went for a camel sunset ride, but just a very short distance there and back and was 30€ per person. Although the stuff in camp is very nice and friendly. I was in one camp two years ago and they didnt charged us the ride to camp and back and we had 3h camel ride for the same price. We got sooo much more than in this camp. Would totaly NOT go there again. Find other camp! The price at the end was a total scam and not what we planned and what they sent us. We didnt shower because water had that little pressure we couldnt.

We arrived in the morning very early in Merzouga (6:30) and were told to go to Riad Jouba and wait there. At 12 we were picked up and brought by a 4x4 jeep to the desert camp. The drive there was really nice and our driver stopped 2 times to take pictures of us. When we arrived, we were served tea and had some snacks, before being showed to our tent. The tent itself is really nice. The toilet worked fine and we had hot water in the shower - everything fine. In the afternoon, we had a camel ride at sunset and in the evening we had a campfire with traditional Berber music, which was also really nice. The next morning, we had a nice breakfast and a perfect transfer back to the city.

The biggest problem in our opinion was communication. It was unclear to us what to do and when things will happen throughout the whole journey. When we arrived in Merzouga, we went to Riad Jouba as told, but everything was closed and we didn’t know what to do. Finally, we went to a Café and waited there. Once in the camp, no one told us when the camel ride would happen. The camel ride itself took about 30min up the dunes. Then, our guide told us he would come back later to pick us up and we were left in the dunes for the sunset. Although the experience was amazing, communication was bad again. Finally, we were disappointed by the dinner. We thought we would have a more typical dinner (Tajine, Couscous, etc.) but instead we were served spaghetti and rice which were not particularly good and only a small Tajine plate. Overall, we think that 70€ / person / night is a bit too much.

The camp was exceptional, pick up from the car park was quick and included in the price, dinner and evening show were fantastic, staff were very friendly and helpful we thank the whole team we do not forget the extra services

Perfect organization, cleanliness and friendliness of the staff. Everything happened as described in Hassan's description when booking. Plus, we arrived early in Merzouga and Hassan directed us to a beautiful hotel with a swimming pool, where we waited cool and free. Everything was wonderful and I thank Salambo Tent Merzouga very much for this experience.

The staff were very kind and available, especially Houssam, the tent was spacious and quiet and the facilities idyllic. The evening meal was very good, the breakfast too

Magnificent location in the MERZOUGA desert. Good place Good breakfast. Comfortable and cozy tent. Great experience!
