Tranquil Haven Retreat

I loved that I could bring my dog. He comes everywhere with me.

Wonderful location with a great little atmosphere to it. Great for a brief stay around Hamilton with great access to the gardens and a very friendly host who was very accommodating. The backyard being closed in and safe for dogs was an incredible find for us, with enough separation from the main road that we didn't worry at all about letting her off leash. It's a beautiful property with greenery and flowers everywhere.

1. The bathroom was quite lacking, with the floors peeling up. 2. The fridge had a horrible smell coming from it when we arrived, couldn't use. 3. The insolation of the building was subpar, the heater on at full blast and we were still shivering, but it was a remarkably cold and windy night.

Old, but comfortable bed.

It was very decrepit and old EVERYTHING was either semi broken or broken. The fridge, fan, shower, blinds, to name a few. Other people's belongings were still there. The access was terrible and it had a bad smell. Overall, I thought it was the worst I've ever come across.

The location, having the bus stop right out the gate was great as I didn’t have transport, peace and quiet being at back of property rather than on road frontage, being independent of the main house

Having to use bathroom sink for dishes (I bought a plastic bowl to use), dishes and cutlery were on open shelves and were dusty, would be better in a covered area/container.

It was wonderful that it was dog friendly

Coffee that was supplied was rock solid in jar. Window catches loose, door very difficult to lock/unlock Ants Lack of power points, extension cords used and power kept blowing when boiling jug.

Quiet location

Lack of fresh blankets, fluffy towels, flannels.
