Exquisite Downtown Loft Apartment

The host was always responsive by app/email. The layout of the loft was very good.

Rough neighborhood. But glad D& D next door, and very close to the M. Twain Museum House. Enjoyed my stay very much.

we didn't even stay. this place is in A very bad part of town. and the smell as soon as we walked i. was enough for us to turn around and leave. I can believe booking.com would allow such a place on there sote

The apartment was mostly comfortable, with a nice living area and kitchen. Everything needed to prepare our own meals was available. Having two bathrooms and laundry facilities was also a nice feature. The host was very responsive to our requests and helpful. You can tell they've made an effort to provide all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay but it could be so much more if just a few tweaks were made to creaking floorboards and communal areas.

The location was great in terms of accessing West Hartford and neighbouring cities but not so great with lots of police and ambulance sirens going at night. Host should let guests know there's no elevator in the building and the apartment is on the third floor. Stairs inside the flat and the floorboards are quite creaky. The entrance area, staircase up to the apartment, and communal areas need a deep clean and further updating over time. We avoided going up and down the stairs because of the amount of dust and grime. All said, I would still recommend.

Very good accommodation for a family of four.

The one drawback was that the upper bedrooms has skylights above the bed with no blinds so the light came in very early. Hartford seems to have more visible poverty than we expected.

The place is very cozy and quiet. It was the first time for my family to visit US and this was our first stop. They really love the place and enjoyed our time a lot.

The hosts were incredibly responsive to any questions we had or any help that we needed. The apartment itself was comfortable for 5 people and it was great that they had 2 beds in the main bedroom. And 2 bathrooms was a great bonus as well.

These are all minor - and did not impact our stay - but would be good to know before you book. the location in Hartford is right near historic sites (Mark Twain House, Harriot Beecher Stowe house) which was great. But, it is also in a location near a hospital so lots of sirens, and some police activity outside. We did not feel unsafe, but it was loud and you should be aware and be careful. Also - if you have more than one car, it is hard to park the other car. Finally - the entry way and stairs up to the apartment (3rd floor) could use updating.
