Wildernest is an incredible property with a kind and personable host. The cottage is phenomenal with every detail thought of and located in a peaceful setting with a great view and approximately 10-15 min from Plitvice Lakes NP. A highlight of our visit was our host providing e-bikes for our family, which our kids thoroughly enjoyed. We also loved coming back to the cottage after a long day hiking Plitvice and relaxing in the sun chairs that had been placed out for us during the day where we enjoyed our welcome beverages and soaked in the peacefulness while our kids played around the property. There are also several very good restaurants within 5 minutes of the cottage. Highly recommend Wildernest!

The beautifully kept house, the facilities and more than anything else, the most wonderful host Mr Hrvoje, we would have ever met. A young and energetic man with totally oriented towards services with smile. He goes out of his way to make the trip useful and enjoyable.

Beautiful property. Everything was provided for our stay. Host was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the hot tub with amazing views and the e-bikes.

Idyllic location - pastoral yet close to Plitvice National Park. Hot tub. Yard to play frisbee. Roomy for 6. Comfortable beds. E-bikes for a variety of paved or unpaved trails. Scenic walks out front door. Friendly and accessible host. Good restaurants and market nearby.

A few cobwebs about but otherwise quite clean

Absolutely amazing! A lot of conveniences that are not usually found in short term rentals, like dishwasher and washing machine. Comfortable beds, plenty of space, and gorgeous rural surroundings. Short drive to attractions. Very good breakfast (provided for extra fee).

My family of 4 loved our stay! Very clean, quiet, comfortable and lovely hosts…run by an adult son and mother. They had great recommendations and we enjoyed our time getting to know them. For the kids, there is a tree swing, seesaw and lots of outdoor space to safely explore the trails on their private property. They put some balls out for the kids and e-bikes available. There is also a hot tub and sauna. Located only 11 minutes to the entrance of Plitvice and 15 minutes to Rastoke by car. Close to stores and restaurants. There is a fantastic breakfast offered for an extra cost. Highly recommend it! Hope to return again!!

Where do I even begin? This is Plitvice’s best kept secret! Vanja and husband are 5 star hosts and live in a property next door. They are very responsive and super helpful. The home (it is a home and not just some accomodation) is sparkling clean and cosy. Well equiped with under floor heating and pristine white towels and sheets. There are two rooms on the top level with one large bathroom and another large bedroom downstairs with the other large bathroom. The kitchen thou small packs a big punch and has a microwave, dishwasher, oven, stove and coffee machine. Everything is generously provided for from the washing detergent and paper towels. There was even some welcome treats waiting for us and Vanja is a fantastic baker too! Breakfast is super yummy and personally made by Vanja. She cares about hosting and it shows. The gardens and surrounding areas must be lovely in summer with many fruit trees that Vanja makes good jam with. Not to mention the infrared sauna and hot tub! As we are visiting in January the snow just makes everything extra special and our young children just loved playing outside. We enjoyed our stay here so much we regret that we didn’t stay longer. When there is such good hospitality at one’s doorstep - take it. It honestly feels like coming home to family!
