GBCharming little room surrounded by stunning views. The host was especially welcoming. I stayed for an event at Goodwood motor circuit, which was drivable in around 30-40 minutes with event traffic.

GBThis place is an absolute gem - a garden paradise, nestled in the woods, perfect for an escape away from it all but close enough to the town if you need to travel in. Alex and her husband are lovely and welcoming, and their friendly ducks, rabbit and chickens make you feel like you’ve stepped into a Beatrix Potter story. I loved it here. The photos don’t do it justice, but it’s booking.com’s best kept secret!
GBHoney House is quite simply lovely. Cosy comfortable and inviting. Alex left great food for our breakfasts plus delicious home made cakes. There are facilities to cook if we wanted. Great shower. Alex and Mat are perfect hosts
No downsides at all
USWe didn’t actually stay there as it was unworkable for us. We thought we were getting a place we could use as a base to come and go from, but it would have required numerous trips up or down winding, dark, one-lane roads. I can’t even imagine how dangerous this would be if it was raining at night. The mileages to services given in the listing did not accurately reflect actual driving distances or conditions. We would NOT have booked it if this was made clear in booking.com’s listing.
The location of the property was too far out in the sticks to be practical for us to stay there. It required traveling down dark, winding and dangerous narrow roads and even a dirt road to get to the house. This was NOT made clear in the description. We got lost twice trying to find it. We knew we just couldn’t stay there safely. We had to scramble around trying to find another place to stay for the next 3 nights. It was a nightmare. We asked for a refund but were refused. We applied for a refund from booking.com but the property owners refused again. I don’t think we should have had to pay for cancellation when they were less than honest about the conditions for getting to their location.
GBThe welcome was excellent and the property was immaculate. The only word for the location is stunning. Matt and Alex are extremely kind and nothing was any trouble. We fell in love with this place as it is the best place we have stayed and we will definitely be returning.
