TANTOR RESORT Hotel and spa Habarana

I had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful hotel tucked away in the heart of Sri Lanka’s lush wilderness — and what an experience it was! From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere felt peaceful and welcoming, with a personal 1:1 support that made all the difference. The staff truly go above and beyond to ensure guests feel comfortable and cared for, always present but never intrusive. The location is perfect for anyone seeking tranquility, surrounded by nature and just a short walk away from an Ayurveda retreat, which added a wonderful dimension of wellness and healing to my stay. What truly stood out, however, was the authentic Sri Lankan cuisine. The meals were a highlight — rich in flavor, beautifully presented, and made with fresh, local ingredients. You can taste the love and tradition in every bite. This place is more than just a hotel — it’s an experience. Anuu der Besitzer hat alles selbst gebaut, es gibt aktuell drei Zimmer, alle auf Stelzen gebaut mit direktem Zugang zum Pool. Die einzelnen Villen sind mit einem Spitzdach gebaut und haben ein Außenbad unter freiem Himmel. Zwei Frauen kümmern sich um wirklich alles, vom Frühstück bis zum Abendessen, vom Zimmerservice bis zum Wäscheservice. Wer also keine großen Hotels mag und das Spezielle sucht, wird hier nicht enttäuscht sein.

This resort was the highlight of our trip. Beautiful garden, lovely pool, good food and super host. Thank you Anu and team for everything – you made our stay truly unforgettable. Do not hesitate to book this accomodation!

Zeer mooi verblijf!

Es war einfach traumhaft. Tantor Resort ist wirklich eine Oase zum Erholen und perfekt gelegen als Ausgangspunkt im Kulturdreieck. Anu, der Eigentümer, und das Personal war so bemüht uns einen angenehmen Aufenthalt zu ermöglichen! Die Anlage ist wunderschön und der Pool traumhaft! Der Garten mit Cocospalme, Mangobäumen, Passionsfrucht und Bambus paradiesisch! Die Hütten sehr originell, gepflegt, aber auch komfortabel, die Freiluftdusche ein Traum!

Wir sind eigentlich sehr kritische Gäste, aber wir hatten wirklich gar nichts auszusetzen. Wir kommen hoffentlich wieder!

Geweldige plek. Zeer bijzonder. Het personeel deed er alles aan om het ons naar de zin te maken. Soms een beetje teveel zelfs.

Una vera oasi di pace! Il Tantor Resort è un piccolo angolo di paradiso immerso nel verde, perfetto per chi cerca relax e natura. La posizione è strategica per esplorare le bellezze della zona, ma è anche il posto ideale dove fermarsi e ricaricarsi. La piscina è semplicemente meravigliosa, ideale per rigenerarsi dopo una giornata in giro. Ottimo anche il cibo, curato e gustoso, e una menzione speciale va a Karuna, vino thai e al host Anuu: accogliente, disponibile e sempre con il sorriso. Un soggiorno che lascia il segno!

Das Personal war sehr freundlich, fleißig und waren immer erreichbar. Sie haben uns auch bei der Organisation von Aktivitäten unterstützt. Besonders gut fanden wir das wirklich leckere Abendessen auf der eigenen Terrasse. Der Pool sowie die Unterkunft war sehr sauber und ordentlich.
