There is no wifi and no reception data providers because of its remote location. Its a recovery place for people with severe illness. Its confronting, not sure if its suitable for travellers in its current state.

The sockets/appliances are a mixture of 12V and regular - and we were not informed about this (not verbally and not in writing). Very dangerous. I got a bad electric shock with burns on my hands. The fuse did not blow as it should have. The host’s excuse that the sockets are different is invalid; it is totally normal for European travelers to have converter plugs. In addition, we were not informed that some of the lights are on solar power and might run out of power, so we had no light in the bathroom during the night. (“You could have called” - sorry, no. Nobody wants to have to make a phone call at 2am and then wait for someone to drive up and fix the problem).
NZA lovely greeting from Katalina and Claus. The rooms were bright and comfortable. And our view out our window looked straight onto the Hokianga Harbour. Stunning. Kitchen/dining is great, roomy and loving the wooden floor and walls. So very bright and airy. Lots of organic ingredients are there to enhance your dinner or breakfast. Plus we were offered to take any thing from the garden. A very holistic household

CZAwesome place with stunning views and a lovely atmosphere. The house is magnificent, clean, and full of sun—a beautiful big kitchen and lots of healthy groceries like nuts, seeds...for free to use. The room was very tidy and comfortable!

Only detraction is gravel road up the hill.
NLBeautiful building, view and location and the kitchen is top notch. They offer health and rejuvenation services, but you can stay there as a regular guest as well. I loved the drive down here, with the ferry, from KariKari.

Bed was very close to the ground and not very comfortable, shower was lukewarm at best (even after leaving it a few minutes to warm up as instructed) property is up a gravel road that makes you wonder if you’re lost
