Kailash Boutique Hotel

The Kailash Boutique Hotel was my welcoming home away from home from the moment I arrived in Kathmandu. Free pickup was provided at the airport, and hotel staff and management were very warm, friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean, comfortable and spacious. Breakfasts were delicious and filling, and the attentive staff member even remembered my coffee order from days 1 & 2, applying them for the remainder of my stay and my subsequent visit several weeks later. Hotel meals were delicious and reasonably priced too, which was helpful when bad weather made it unpleasant to go out to the numerous other eateries in the area. All major attractions were either within walking distance or a very affordable taxi ride away.

There wasn’t anything that I would change about the Kailash Boutique Hotel. It had everything that I needed, and it was well located for getting out to restaurants and for doing pre-trek preparations at the many outdoor shops in nearby streets.

A huge thank you to Ejaj at the front desk. He is humorous, helpful, and truly cares about the guests.

Tucked away but centrally located. Fabulous restaurant right next door. Nice, calm feel. Decks outside on the floor for hanging out with a view of the city and the mountains behind. Great communication from the place ahead of time with airport pickup and they have an onsite tour provider/excursion manager.

Bit of noise from the construction next door but only in the mornings not at night. Breakfast was OK. Serviceable and clean, but not amazing. Coffee was not good. Recommend getting it from the cafe connected instead

The staff, comfort and cleanliness were outstanding. Even though it’s in the Thamel, it’s on a quieter side street so my room was quiet. Nice location close to shopping and restaurants.

Nothing - we stayed there three separate times before and after our trek and it never disappointed.
